Lighted dance floor makes your wedding memorable

Do you want to make your wedding stand out and be the talk of the town? How about renting a lighted dance floor for your reception?  Imagine the impact this lighted dance floor will make when you and your newly betrothed step out onto the dance floor for your first dance as man and wife.
Some brides like a glossy all white floor to start the dance while others prefer to use their wedding colors. A beautifully lit solid color dance floor can start the evening, and then be changed to a neon pulsating checkerboard to keep the party going!
The sky is the limit when creating a personalized color dance floor for your event! Check out www.LEDPartyFloors.com today.

Why Banks should spend our tax dollars on lavish parties!

The news yesterday had a slew of angry reports about some of the banks and insurance companies that received government bailout money using it to throw extravagant parties. Bank and insurance CEO’s that make more per month than I do in a year, using our tax dollars to throw themselves and their workers lavish parties. Well I say let them! Now I understand why some people would be upset when they hear this, but let’s take a step back to the end of last year when we bailed out the car manufacturers. The argument I heard for bailing them out was if we don’t it won’t just be them going under, it will affect many other businesses that depend on them for their survival and in the long run America will suffer. Well, what do you think happens to the companies that rely on the entertainment and event planning business for their survival? Don’t you think they suffer when society or the news tells businesses to stop throwing parties?
If the purpose of the bail out money is to spur the economy and help out small business and the American worker, then why are we stifling the economic incentives we put in place? When banks book these parties they are employing numerous small business owners: rental companies, caterers, musicians, linen suppliers, event planners, servers, hotels, floral shops, garbage collectors, food suppliers and the trickle down goes on from there.  I work with Sound Mind Events and Texas Stage Rental. We employ about 20 people and I know we could use some of those jobs the banks are booking! If the purpose of the bail out money is to spur the economy, then I say let’s get this party started!

The Newest “Old” trend in the event industry: Disco Dance Floors!

Published by LED Party Floors under Event Planning

PRESS RELEASE

FOR IMMEDIATE DISTRIBUTION Date: February 9, 2009Origination:  Dallas, TX

The Newest “Old” trend in the event industry:  Disco Dance Floors! Disco Dance Floors, now updated with new technology, are making a comeback in private and corporate events!   It’s 1976, and John Travolta is King of Disco.  The Bee-Gees are playing in the background, and Amii Stewart is knocking on wood.  Bell Bottoms, wide collars, white leather, and, of course, Disco Dance Floors! First started in the 1950’s, and made popular by “Saturday Night Fever”, Disco Dance Floors (or illuminated floors) were a staple of the disco era.  Made with regular light bulbs using a colored glass surface, they were generally controlled with a color organ.   Now, these floors have gotten a remake.  Using LED lighting instruments, they are capable of producing more colors than the original floors, while consuming far less power and generating less heat. Robert Chapman, owner of LED Party Floors (www.ledpartyfloors.com) is a part of the comeback of these floors.  “We’ve done the theme parties, of course, but what we are really seeing is private and corporate parties using these as a modern feel to their event.  We’re doing Bar and Bat Mitzvahs, larger corporate events, even fashion show runways.” Mr. Chapman’s company delivers and installs the new, computer controlled versions of the classic dance floors for both rentals and permanent installations all over the United States.  In the last year, they’ve done events and installations from California to Maryland.  “We haven’t had a client yet that hasn’t been absolutely thrilled with our floors.  More people are dancing, which translates to a happier crowd, and a more enjoyable event!” ### Media Contact:Sue Crimm, Director of OperationsCompany Name: LED Party Floors (www.ledpartyfloors.com)Parent Company:  Sound Mind EventsPhone:  (866) 273-9985Fax: (469) 742-0253Email: sue@soundmindevents.com To editors:  We have several hi-res photos of our floors in action, and upcoming event dates and locations for live shots.  Please contact us for this information! ###
